Key Updates
Information about COVID-19 will continue to be updated in weekly epidemiology reports found at www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/surveillance/covid-19/index.html and online COVID-19 dashboards will no longer be available. Vaccine dashboards will continue to be updated.
Public health officials are highlighting the following trends. As of March 23, Manitoba saw:
128 new hospitalizations, a 4.9 per cent increase from the previous week; and
11 new ICU cases, a 57.1 per cent increase from the previous week.
As compared to people with two or more doses of vaccine, those who are not fully vaccinated are:
five times as likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19,
seven times as likely to be admitted to an intensive care unit, and
10 times as likely to die with COVID-19.
The provincial vaccine site in Selkirk closes on March 26, followed by the Steinbach site in mid-April. For additional updates on vaccine locations and hours, or to use the vaccine finder, visit https://manitoba.ca/covid19/vaccine/index.html.

Public health officials advise 15 deaths in people with COVID-19 are being reported today:
a female in her 100s from Southern Health-Santé Sud (reported Friday);
a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Saturday);
a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Saturday);
a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Saturday);
a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Saturday);
a female in her 70s from Southern Health-Santé Sud and linked to the outbreak at Eastview Place (reported Saturday);
a male in his 90s from the Winnipeg health region (reported Wednesday);
a female in her 50s from Interlake-Eastern health region (reported Wednesday);
a female in her 90s from Prairie Mountain Heath region and linked to the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home (reported Wednesday);
a male in his 70s from Interlake-Eastern health region (reported Wednesday);
a male in his 70s from the Prairie Mountain Health region (reported Thursday);
a female in her 60s from Interlake-Eastern health region (reported Thursday);
a male in his 50s from the Northern health region, linked to the outbreak at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg (reported Thursday);
a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at Calvary Place Personal Care home (reported Thursday); and
a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at River Park Gardens Personal Care Home (reported Thursday).
